Elegant and Energetic Jaipur is Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site



India’s Pink City, Jaipur, has finally entered into the UNESCO World Heritage sites list. Since years Jaipur has attracted countless travelers from across the globe thus making it one of the prime cities of Rajasthan for tourism. It is also known as one of the most ancient heritage rich city of the state, and its status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site will  deeply strengthen its position on the world map.

The exotic cuisine, unmatched architecture, and raw natural beauty of the Rajasthan countryside is itself enough to turn Jaipur into a world class destination. Still, there is much more to this gorgeous city. Jaipur is filled with stunning festivals, richly decorated elephants casually walking about their work, charming cultural insights, and a labyrinth of vibrant dream palaces built across the city.
Jaipur was added to the world heritage sites list on 06th July this year at the UNESCO World Heritage Committee at Baku. The decision was addressed worldwide, and Indian PM Narendra Modi also expressed his happiness through Twitter, “Jaipur is a city associated with culture and valour. Elegant and energetic, Jaipur’s hospitality draws people from all over. Glad that this city has been inscribed as a World Heritage Site by @UNESCO”. 
The historic city perfectly met all the inspection standards of ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites) and thus was added to the final list.

Jaipur, the capital and also the largest city of the state of Rajasthan has two significant UNESCO sites namely; Jantar Mantar and Amber Fort. The city of Jaipur which was established in 1727 by Sawai Jai Singh II, the king of Amer is also a part of the renowned golden triangle circuit in North India.
