Jaipur and Udaipur are now officially among “The Best Cities in the World”!

It is the time to cheer as our favourite cities Udaipur and Jaipur of India have significantly made space for themselves in top 15 cities in the world according to Travel + Leisure magazine.

Udaipur known as the City of Lakes, has left behind some major cities of the world to find itself a position among the 15 best cities in the world. Udaipur has definitely surprised the world by this unexpected, however entirely deserving feat!

Earlier in 2009 it was voted as the “best city to visit” as well, Udaipur has shocked the world yet again!

Udaipur is renowned as the ‘Venice of the East; being a land of grandeur and royalty. It is filled with grand mansions, heritage forts, serene lakes, and vibrant culture along with some incredible luxurious villas and resorts for a comfortable stay for its guests. The star attraction contributing to the success is the grand City Palace, that plays an important role in enhancing this city both in India and abroad.

After receiving the World heritage tag from UNESCO Jaipur has got another reason to celebrate. In a survey conducted by Travel + Leisure magazine, Jaipur has been ranked among the 10th Best City of Asia. Two cities from Rajasthan are part of the list which will further increase tourism.

Jaipur recently hit headlines when it was known as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO. There are only two cities of India featured on the list and both of them are in Rajasthan.

The magazine readers gives feedback about their travel experiences across the globe and share their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cuisines, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, things to do, airlines, and more. Based on the feedback, the best cities of the world are nominated by the magazine.

Jaipur famous as “Pink City”, is known to have some of the finest architectural structures and heritage sites of the country. Everything in and around the city appears like the specimen of the rich ancient history of the city in the erstwhile days. The local handicrafts, the majestic monuments, the Royal Palaces, and the colorful saris provide an inspiring view into the glorious lives of the monarchy.

After entering the list, now Jaipur and Udaipur would attract more domestic as well as international tourists for its heritage and architectural beauty.

Roads connecting these two cities are dotted with some really amazing dhabas along the way. How about trying some mirch pakode and mawa kachori along the way? Check out some really amazing dhabas on the highway!
