Udaipur known as the City of Lakes, has left behind some major cities of the world to find itself a position among the 15 best cities in the world. Udaipur has definitely surprised the world by this unexpected, however entirely deserving feat!
Earlier in 2009 it was voted as the “best city to visit” as well, Udaipur has shocked the world yet again!
Udaipur is renowned as the ‘Venice of the East; being a land of grandeur and royalty. It is filled with grand mansions, heritage forts, serene lakes, and vibrant culture along with some incredible luxurious villas and resorts for a comfortable stay for its guests. The star attraction contributing to the success is the grand City Palace, that plays an important role in enhancing this city both in India and abroad.
After receiving the World heritage tag from UNESCO Jaipur has got another reason to celebrate. In a survey conducted by Travel + Leisure magazine, Jaipur has been ranked among the 10th Best City of Asia. Two cities from Rajasthan are part of the list which will further increase tourism.
Jaipur recently hit headlines when it was known as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO. There are only two cities of India featured on the list and both of them are in Rajasthan.

After entering the list, now Jaipur and Udaipur would attract more domestic as well as international tourists for its heritage and architectural beauty.
